| Alright, I'm praying you guys can help me. I have a 98 Trans Am and recently it has become possessed and occasionally when starting it up, putting it in drive, and coasting out of anywhere, it will start to idle like it wants to stall, if I give it gas it acts like it's getting none, if I let off the gas it will idle really rough and go very slow making a putt putt noise while it does, stinking very strongly of gas. Originally it was throwing codes indicating the O2 sensors were bad. So, I replaced them. Then it began throwing "multiple cylinder misfire" codes....So, I had new plugs and wires installed. Then no codes were thrown, but the car would occasionally do this same stalling thing. I then went on to replace the MAF, the PCV valve, and the fuel filter and STILL....the same thing. I had the fuel pressure checked and it was around 50. Also, it will do this for a little while and then you can hear the car "right" itself and then it runs fine. Right now there is no SES light on but still it's a gamble from start to start whether or not the car will do this. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this or where I might look next? Recently, I have had Hooker headers and an SLP lid installed...could those 2 additions be causing issues?

| So, in a nut shell; after you install the headers and the lid the next day the car acted up. Did you do by chance check over the all the componets that you were messing with. The coil packs, the wires running along next to the headers, making sure they are not melted. Do you have cats still?
